Had I been born a girl, my name would’ve been Adelaide (Heidi rather). Luckily I ended up as Nicolás→ instead (in your face, Johanna Spyri!). In spite of being born in Caracas, raised in Copenhagen and Miami, then living in Bogotá→ and finally settling down in Melbourne→, I guess I ended up pretty level-headed. I wonder how long that’ll last.

I could be described as an agency brat with ample corporate and brand experience (McCormick, CVS, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Kimberly-Clark, and Dunkin’ Donuts among others) while having the opportunity to cater to some of the most demanding and respected clients within the WPP Group→ (ZAAZ, Design Kitchen, JWT, Wunderman, and VML just to name a few). Yes, I am a web developer→ (fanfare). Then again, maybe not quite that.

I’m a tireless collector of information, experiences, and a tinkerer→ by nature; if there’s anything that remotely interests me, I’m smothering it. I spend most of my spare time gaming (video→ and board→), listening to obscure music→, and simply geeking around (researching, designing, reading, and exprimenting). I mean, I am an engineer→ after all. Though somewhat of a picky eater, I enjoy spicy food (the hotter, the better) and sushi. I don’t have a cat (yet).

Thanks to Studiocom→ and Offshore Guys→, I got my first professional-level break back in 2005, with that racking up over 10 years online experience. Since then I’ve championed web standards→ and best practices, while learning to get past the nuances (though sometimes mostly annoyances) of the different environments→. Trial and error is my friend. Though I simply love frontend (HTML, CSS and JavaScript), I also whip up backend (ASP.NET, PHP and ROR). A jack of all trades as they say. I’m a quick learner (hm, just like everybody else), picking up propiertary systems along the way. Most are simply too hush-hush for me to be able to spill any beans. I enjoy a good challenge, especially when it’s impossible to accomplish.

Still awake? Feel free to contact me→.
